Get In Some Valuable Downtime For Success

GET IN SOME DOWNTIME PERIODICALLY TO RE-ESTABLISH YOUR FOCUS AND CONNECTION WITH YOUR GOALS

I was up in Queensland for a 10-day holiday with my 2 kids, my wife and two other families.

It is important to have some sort of downtime to break up regular routines.

I did get in quite a few runs through the local trails up into the mountains in the hot sun.

back pain

This was actually quite tough with the heat but rewarding at the same time. I can now just get on with it and not focus at all on the heat while running. We want to get you to that point with your back.

Stop focusing on the NEGATIVES.

So it is important to get in some downtime doing the things you love in between the busy hustle and bustle of the work week back at home.

See if you can find time for reading, meditation or doing something that you love just to break up the repetitiveness of the week's activities.

This is going to enable you to get in some thinking time to establish where you are right now and what you need to be doing and working on next, to continue moving forward to get the results that you’re ultimately looking for.

I’ve got a big race coming up in the Blue Mountains in New South Wales that I’m training for, so I make sure I’ve got in my exercise, mobility and running while I was away because I’m disciplined.

Not everyone else is as disciplined as me or as other people so if you just doing a little bit of stretching and mobility on your holidays or down weeks, it should be sufficient just to get you through. But you don’t want to ever totally switch off completely.

By staying engaged and focused on your short-term and long-term goals you’ll keep moving forward and seeing results as you go on.

So remember to train your body and brain to keep going and don’t ever stop to dwell on the negatives.

You are in control and you always have a decision to make, for better or worse- you can choose.
